I think it would be fair to say that when it comes to creativity Nokia’s smartphones have lacked a little lately, however a new concept smartphone designed by creative designer Jeremy Innes-Hopkins could see Nokia finally break the mold.
This concept is called Nokia Kinetic, as it is only a concept full details are unknown, however there is a noticeable curved base, which will apparently contain an electromagnet, allowing it to stand up automatically when someone rings you etc.
The idea is good, but in my opinion would be more annoying than good, lets face how often is your phone on a perfectly flat surface on its back, half the time it is in your pocket, on the arm of the sofa or on the kitchen side, one slip and it could fall onto a hard surface, into the kitchen sink or off your balcony.
The Nokia Kinetic Concept is not just a one trick pony, if you check out the image embedded below you can see what other features Innes-Hopkins has given the Kinetic, these include volume/zoom controls, a dedicated camera button and a micro-USB connector.
Do you like look of the Nokia Kinetic? Do you think the electric-magnet powered balance feature is a good idea? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below
