White iPhone 4: Release Date Delay – Where is it?

While the iPhone 4 Recall debate on whether the handset will actually be recalled or not lingers on, I’m a bit concerned on the status of the White iPhone 4 model. Why hasn’t there been any updates from Apple regarding this?

A quick glance on the US Apple Store and I am greeted with the same ”White iPhone currently unavailable for order or in-store pickup” message – Which just to let you know, hasn’t changed since Apple released the iPhone 4 on June 24th.

I can understand that they might be busy trying to sort out the problems related to reception and antenna issues, but I also think that customers should be given an update on the white iPhone 4 out of sheer courtesy. The only alternative for customers is to pay an extortionate price for one via online marketplaces, or make do with the official white iPhone 4 bumper case.

Are you getting frustrated with the delay over the white iPhone 4 model or is it just me? I know that there is a lot of people patiently waiting for the white model and don’t mind doing so, but it is starting to become a bit tedious on Apple’s part.

Let us know your thoughts on this. Are you still waiting for the White model or have you given up?

      I really can't stand apple. i love their products, but they really don't care about keeping their customers happy. They know we will continue to buy their products becasue they are amazing, so they don't care about keeping us happy. It took them like 6 models before they put a flash on the camera. It's terrible that you can't even replace the battery of your own phone or open it up. It's not exactly hard for them to give an ESTIMATED release date for the white phone, but they don't do it. That said, I still can't wait for the new phone. I would have gotten the Black one, but I'm hoping the white one will have fixed the antenna problemo.

      Joke, really not happy with the way just dont keep the people who keep the company going any updates with there product. starting to get fedup of waitin for it. I am going it till the end of July before i find another device. love the white one.

      Mal….Unbelieveable!!! Why the hold up on the white phone??? Come on Apple we have stuck with you through all of the changes to the iphone why the big hush, hush on the release of the white model. Let the consumers know something. Loosing faith :(

      All i know is that Apple better have something good to say. They have kept many people waiting on the white one, its obvious there's something up their sleeve but who knows right? Maybe Apple sold so many Black iPhone 4's they don't even care about the customers anymore…? But if the White iPhone 4 doesn't come out by the end of July I am threw with Apple products….. Ridiculous. =/

      I’m waiting on a white one, meanwhile I’m stuck usiing my 3G that will not hold a charge all day. By 4:00 pm it shuts itself off and if I’m not near a charger, I’m screwed. Also, I updated the software on it when iPhone 4 was released and now it runs slow and has a full 2 second delay before apps open or when dialing contacts. It’s very frustrating.

      In my personal experience when I’ve had trouble with an apple product apple has been very very helpful I don’t own an iPhone 4 but regardless of the rumors I plan to get one when they get to Mexico, but I do own an iPad and iPod touch an iPod nano and a shuffle, and only because I am a very happy apple costumer thanx to the way they handle my iPod issues

      Been waiting for this white iphone 4 for a almost a month now, i give it til the end of july until i just give up and get me a black one…

      I can't handle this!!! I want the white iPhone 4 soo bad that I'm having dreams about it almost every night!! And I think it's ridiculous that they can't put an exact date on the release, that's all I ask for so that I can count down the days and know what night to camp out in front of the apple store haha!!! Every time I see someone with a black iPhone 4 I start to feel jealous inside because that could be me but I don't have one because I want a white one!!! The white one just looks so clean and classy!!! Apple I hate you for making me wait but I love you for your products!!!!

      I'm sure everyone here is frustrated that the white hasn't come out just like I am. But most of the people I hear complaining are still rockin their old iPhones and smartphones…my iPhone 3G was stolen 2 weeks before the 4G launch. I signed up for the white 4G, thinking that it would be available on launch day. To this day I'm still using an old LG flip phone from 2003. No camera, no calendar, NO NOTHING. I'm sure no one wants this freakin phone to hurry up and come out like me. I AM LITERALLY DYING A SLOW DEATH WITH THIS ZACK MORRIS PHONE.

      You people are crazy it’s just a freaking color they all gonna work the same…. Plus apple do care about their customers I waited 10 hours in line and they gave us food and drinks… Alot of it too. They are trying to fix the reception problem making the phone for millions of people gonna take time

      this whole waiting of white iphone 4 really makes me frustrated. every day i debate with my self, should i give up and get the black one?.. arghhh i want the white one so bad. i love Apple, but seriously, for the first time it has made me disappointed

      I feel the exact same way. Its just terrible. I havent had a phone since I accidentally destroyed my old one…and the 'rents didnt want me to get another one
      until about the end of June
      and then the horrible message that the white iPhone cant be ordered or picked up….so i researched a bit and saw an update that it would be available in two weeks or whatever…then it moved to the end of july
      now its the end of July and its STILL not available – and only the 16gb model will be available in SePtEmBeR?! ….im not happy with Apple, but I love their products [sigh] :/

      Seriously you guys venting frustration and disappointment at Apple, do you seriously think Apple wants this? Of course not they are as dismayed as all of us at the delays but if the company(ies) producing it are having problems would you rather they shipped a sub-standard product? No, nor do I, so the only thing to do is be patient and wait or alternatively get the black one or of course get a different phone altogether.

      I've have move to Android OS , I have sold my iPhone 3G to my mate and Upgrade to the New Samsung Galaxy S , is away faster than the Iphone 4 and the OS is more open and its app market its Growing really quick.
      The reason why i did that ????? Apple's away of dealing with customers. The iPhone 4 delays are making a lot of people realized the iPhone is not that brilliant product anymore and only Fan boys are staying with it. The Galaxy S and the HTC Desire offer a lot more for the same price and great quality. In 2 years time if apple don't lift time the game again like they did with the first iPhone they might get left on the dust by companies like Samsung who actually produce most of the iPhone components as apple does not make anything they just design even the A4 chip is made by samsung so i think its time to make the change.
      But I should said that if apple has lift up the benchmark for mobile phone interface and screen technology in 2007 and now its time to do it again because otters companies have realised that and they went the same path and now with the android they are actually better in all aspects only a blind man can't see that and I have used the iphone since 2007 even when people said it would succeeded.
