Porsche 911 4S vs. Cayenne Turbo: Track test
By: Peter Chubb | July 16, 2010 | Leave a Comment
When you look at the Porsche 911 4S and Cayenne Turbo side-by-side you would think that the smaller lighter vehicle would get around a race track much quicker. This battle is about power verses agility and handling, so how close would this match-up be?
Autocar thought that they would find out the answer so arranged a little race time with the two vehicles. In one corner we have the Porsche Cayenne Turbo with its 500hp engine and 4,784-pound of weight to push around.
In the other corner we have the 3,219-pound 911 Carrera 4S with its 385 horsepower engine. So they are in a different weight class, this is like an uneven UFC event, so who is your money on?
Just to let you know the Cayenne gets to sixty in 4.4 seconds, while the Carrera does it in 4.3 seconds – so not much to choose from. I do not want to give anything away, so check out the video below. They should have raced the 911 against the 740 Horsepower Merdad Porsche Cayenne.
