Gears of War 2: SDCC Twitter Driven XP Promotion

By Jamie Pert - Jul 15, 2010

If you never managed to earn some of Gears of Wars 2 level 50 related achievements we have some good news for you, a new Twitter promotion may make this a possibility.

Rod Fergusson, the Executive Producer of the Gears of War franchise at Epic Games has recently revealed a new Twitter promotion in which the more followers he gets, the higher the XP multiplier will become.

You can see the tweet that explains the promotion here, basically it means for every 500 followers he gets he will add to the XP mulitplayer, currently he is at just over 9000 followers, which means the multiplier stands at 18x.

From what we can see the promotion will only last whilst the San Diego Comic-Con takes place, the official website say it starts on July 22nd and last until July 25th.

If you would like to help this multiplier increase follow Rod Fergusson on Twitter here.

Is this promotion unfair to gamers who played for hours on end to earn level 50?

  • It's not unfair to those that slogged for lv50 as there are 100 levels :) Besides In the last event of 8x XP I went from lv1 (Got reset in a horrific update accident) to level 54 in the one event.
