Toyota RAV4 2001-2003: Warranty Extension and Reimbursements

If you have brought a Toyota RAV4 (2001-2003 model) you are probably more than aware of the ongoing problems these vehicles have endured, now we are hearing that Toyota are extending the RAV4s warranty nationwide.

The RAV4 has mainly suffered problems with its electronic control modules and automatic transmissions, prior to the warranty extension Toyota warranty lasted six years or 60,000 miles, however now the 235,500 affected models now have a much longer warranty.

The warranty now stands at 10 years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first), this extended warranty only covers the transmission and the electronic control module, however if you have previously paid for an out of warranty repair (related to the covered defective parts), Toyota will reimburse you.
