Shots have been taken whilst out testing, of Hyundai’s latest creation the Veloster sports coupe. The video clip reported on by Auto Motor und Sport, shows the coupe being put through its paces alongside one of it’s competitors, Volkswagen’s Scirocco.
Even though sporting shape disguising camouflage, we are still able to see that the size is very similar to the VW. Apart from this the only other feature that can be made out is the twin center exit exhaust pipes. With Hyundai looking at reaching out into another area of the market, it’s newest model will be launched sometime next year.
Hyundai looks to set the Veloster against rivals such as VW’s Scirocco and Honda’s CR-Z, and hopes to gain points in regards to fuel economy. With the auto manufacturer claiming that figures exceeding 40 mpg, without the aid of a hybrid powerplant, the new coupe is thought to be getting a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. So all that is left to do is wait for more pictures to be released, and hope that with Hyundai’s injection we will see some more exciting sports coupes being released.
