Toyota Future Plans: Three Green Vehicles Scheduled for 2012

Despite all of the recent recall-related news Toyota seem to be staying positive, so much so they have revealed plans to release three new-to-market green vehicles in 2012.

Apparently all three vehicle models will be introduced in the first half of 2012, one of these vehicles will be a plug-in version of the Prius, another will be a battery vehicle and the other is currently a complete mystery, however it is said to be another variant of the Prius.

According to AutoWeek the source wanted to remain anonymous as he was not yet authorized to speak publicly about Toyota’s future plans, how reliable this source really is, is unknown.

The battery vehicle is what seems to be stirring up the most interest at the moment, AutoWeek beleive that it may be very similar to the electric version of the iQ, you can find out a little more about the IQ here.

Finally AutoWeek’s anonymous source also suggested that Toyota will utilize a viral marketing campaign, which will promote the launch of their green vehicles, lets just hope Toyota do not have to recall any of these models!
