iPhone 4 & Consumer Reports: What Will Apple Do?

Since the release of the iPhone 4 thousands of consumers have been frustrated with reception issues, this started off as a small problem which Apple blamed on software, however it is now becoming apparent that the problem is far from that.

Consumer Reports recently revealed that they would not recommend the iPhone 4 and say that the problem is hardware-related, therefore many experts and consumers are wondering just what Apple can do to get out of this pickle.

Apple say that all smartphones have reception issues if you hold them in certain ways, this may be true to some extent, however the iPhone 4 takes this to a whole new level, which in my opinion is unacceptable in this day and age.

I feel that there is no obvious easy way out for Apple, they could look into the manufacturing process and work on a solution, however this would mean that the millions of iPhone 4 smartphones that have been sold already would have to be repaired or replaced, which would be extremely expensive, but what other option is there?
