New iPod Touch: Camera Resolution 3.2 Megapixel?
By: Jamie Pert | July 11, 2010 | 7 CommentsIt is almost certain that a new iPod Touch will launch later this year, therefore it is no surprise to see plenty of rumors regarding Apple’s fourth-generation iPod Touch.
Mac enthusiasts were hoping that the next iPod Touch would feature a 5 megapixel camera, however it is now looking more likely that a 3.2 megapixel sensor will be used due to design limitations.
An article recently posted on 9 to 5 Mac suggests that fitting a 5 MP camera into the current iPod Touch’s frame would not be possible, chances are the next gen iPod Touch will be more powerful, smaller and thinner, therefore 9 to 5 Mac believe that a 3.2 MP sensor would allow for a new refined design.
As with all Apple rumors we must take this with a pinch of salt, personally I am not sure what to believe, if the iPhone 4 features a thin design and a 5 megapixel camera, why can’t the fourth-gen iPod? Let’s face it Apple have achieved bigger things in the past!
Will a 3.2 megapixel sensor be a disappointment?
