Lexus Recall List and Toyota’s Defect Information Report

When we first heard about Toyota’s new Lexus recall, we showed you a list of models and talked specifically about the UK market. This was followed up by an update focused on the U.S. vehicles, the history of the new engine problem, and we also posted an animation that clearly showed worldwide recall numbers.

Today we have found a PDF file – can be seen here – that NHTSA has posted, this is the official Lexus engine recall notice, also known as a “Defect Information Report”. The PDF file is great for those wanting to read in more detail about this latest recall.

The 5-page document gives specific vehicle details, with those models on the recall list. It will show you the VIN number range, dates of manufacture, and just how Toyota explained the valve spring problem.
