Apple Respond To iTunes Scam: Refunds Are Your Banks Responsibilty

If you have been following the news from Apple over the weekend just gone, and post-iTunes scam then you might like to know that Apple have finally responded to the fiasco with an official statement and have kicked the responsible developer from the App Store all together.

In the statement, Apple suggest that if you think that you are one of the customers who think they have been incorrectly charged for purchases not made by you, then you should take up the matter with your associated bank.

Apple also say that not any one developer ever sees any sensitive information in relation to “confidential customer data.” By which they probably mean your card or password details.

Thuat Nguyen, a developer who was first suspected of headlining the scam has since been ejected from the iOS developer program, and has had all his applications removed from the App Store.

Others that were thought to be involved such as Storm 8 have publicly stated that they have had nothing to do with the iTunes hack and submitted a reply to the post from TheNextWeb, and also in our comments section from the original post.
