For the past month or so the only Android handsets that you would have heard about were the Droid X, HTC Incredible and EVO 4G. The latter is considered to be the best of the bunch, but we wonder for how long? LG has been a little late to the market, but the new Optimus One and Chic handsets shows their commitment.
Both phones form part of the Optimus series and was launched in the UK today. However, these are just two of what is believed to be ten new handsets – and not just on Android but other mobile OS as well.
Darren Murph from Engadget learned from a press release today that both the One and Chic will come with Android 2.2 Froyo straight out the box and will be released later this year. The Chic is everything what the name suggests – so ideal for those fashion conscious types out there.
As yet LG has failed to offer any details on an exact release date and price, but we will update you once we know more.
