By Posted 2 Jul 2010, 03:25

It has only been a few days since a new build of Android 2.2 Froyo became available for Nexus One users, but now we can confirm that Google has released a new build of Froyo, which is available to download manually as well as OTA on your handset.

As reported from Engadget, Google has made the new build, FRF91 available to download now. According to Engadget, the new update is a minor affair and was only released due to security measures.

The update should also be available OTA so if you are using a Nexus One now, look out for the notification over the weekend. If you find any hidden features after installing FRF91, be sure to leave us a comment below.

I noticed this also about an extra 80mb for me.

I got it about an hour ago. The touch screen seemed a little buggy after frf85. Probably my imagination, but it feels more responsive and snappy after frf91.

Could be my imagination, but it seems to run faster and a little smoother

  • brett

Definitely smoother and seemingly quicker (compared to FRF85b). I'm using Swype beta and that is now a bit sluggish- just an observation- I may bring back the stock keyboard for awhile.

Got offer for an update to Adnroid 2.2 froyo (45MB build FRF91) this afternoon on an unlocked Nexus One imported direct from Google-US to UK. Successfully installed & watched the live match Ger beet Arg 4-0 live via tvcatchup.com using flash. AMAZING clarity & speed via wifi !!! So excited.

Already Had 2.2 for a couple of weeks Forget the build , probably 83… today's update to FRF91, has fixed the issues had with applications missing from the market place and phone ( the ROM not being white listed ion the the marketplace servers)… FYi my update was only 8 mb, definitely fix the odd other bug with the slide unlock not responding randomly , and random hangs…. However i cant see any difference with the keyboard that has been mentioned above.
