Android 3.0 Gingerbread Update: List of features?

Android 2.2 Froyo update has not been out that long and we have already been talking about the next version – 3.0 Gingerbread. Like the latest update, the Google Nexus One will get the next mobile OS first with the most popular Android running phones following shortly after.

As you would imagine there has been many rumors already concerning Android 3.0 Gingerbread, such as its release date and its list of features. We cannot be certain how much truth there is in these features, but they certainly give us some idea what to expect.

A recent post on Neowin suggests that the update will be available in Q3, just in time for Black Friday and will have features centered on tablet devices –that’s according to UnwiredView. There are suggestions that the smaller handsets will not benefit from Gingerbread – but we have to remember that this is all speculation.

There are a few hardware requirements, such as 1Ghz CPU and 512MB of RAM. Displays have to be 3.5-inches and larger and will be less reliant on third-party UI interfaces. For more details visit Neowin via the link above.
