Toyota who have already recalled over ten million cars worldwide may have more problems ahead with a new possiable recall of its Lexus and Crown models. Up to 3,200 vehicles in the UK could be recalled.
Emma Rowley from Sky News.com is reporting that potentially 270,000 vehicles could be affected worldwide with the engine that could stall while moving. The models affected in the UK are the Lexus LS460, LS600, and GS 450h and GS 460 models.
A spokesman for Toyota said: “The defective engines, whose valve springs are not working properly, may halt in the worst case scenario while driving, and went on to say “The Company is preparing for taking market measures as soon as possible.”
Of the 270,000 models affected 180,000 were sold overseas with the rest being sold in Japan. Owners who may be worried can call the Lexus customer relations team on 01737 367 601, or contact their local Lexus centre.
