Windows Phone 7: Release Date Update Details

We have some good news for those of you planning to pick up an Windows Phone 7 handset later on in the year, as Microsoft has inadvertently given us a release date update on when we can expect the new OS.
As reported from Engadget, Microsoft only stated previously that Windows Phone 7 would be available sometime during the holiday period this year.
However, Microsoft VP for Marketing Mich Mathews revealed at the Cannes Lions advertising conference that Windows Phone 7 will be available sometime in October – which narrows down the release period a lot.
That means that you’ll be able to pick up Windows Phone 7 first, before deciding whether or not to pick up their new Kinect motion device for the Xbox 360.
Will you be getting a WP7 handset in October? Let us know your thoughts on this.
