We have some interesting news to bring you now, and pretty exciting news if you are a Motorola Droid owner. A leaked Verizon Wireless document has indicated that the original Droid will be receiving the update to Android 2.2 Froyo before the upcoming Droid X handset.
As reported from BGR, the memo states that the Droid is in line to receive Android 2.2 and Flash 10.1 at the end of July.
However, as we pointed out yesterday, those of you planning to purchase the new Droid X on Verizon, will have to wait until late August to get the Froyo update and Adobe’s latest Flash Player.
The document looks pretty legit to us, so we’re guessing there will be a lot of happy Droid owners after reading this. We’ll let you know if we hear anything else regarding dates for both handsets.
Are you planning to get the Droid X? If so, what are your thoughts on this?
