AllGo Android Tablet: $35 Device with WiFi and Touchscreen (Video)

If you are not keen on spending $500 on an Apple iPad you have probably been looking for a cheaper alternative, therefore a sub $50 Android-based tablet will probably sound extremely desirable to many.

AllGo Embedded Systems are currently working on a tablet, this is by no means as high-end device, however parts and materials come in at under $35 cost (exactly how much this would retail at is unknown).

You can see a video showing the tablet embedded at the end of this post, in the video you see a very simplistic device which allows simple access to the Internet via WiFi, the processor is 450 MHz, which sounds low, however AllGo have optimized the Android operating system so that it runs pretty well.

To be honest the tablet in my opinion will never be a desirable device, however it does at least show what AllGo can do with Google Android and cheap components, personally I would like to see what they can do with $100 of components, perhaps they could create a much faster device which they could offer at $150, this could be their niche in the market.
