For those of you planning to pick up the Motorola Droid X from Verizon in July, you’ll be pleased to know that the handset has now been officially unveiled. We have a price, release date and detailed specs to share with you now.
As reported from BGR, the Droid X will be available to buy from July 15th. The handset will be pretty affordable too, as it will cost you $199 after $100 mail in rebate on a two year customer agreement with Verizon.
Sadly, the Droid X won’t come with Android 2.2 Froyo, instead it will come with 2.1 with an update to 2.2 scheduled later on this Summer. Specs include a 4.3-inch display, 1GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera, 720p video recording, multitouch keyboard, 8GB of internal memory, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Will you be picking up the new Droid X this July? Head to BGR for a full list of specs.
