Asda Recalls Shredders: Electric Shock Claims
By: Peter Chubb | June 22, 2010 | Leave a Comment
Walmart owned Asda has had to issue a recall on thousands of paper shredders, it seems that there is a risk of electric shock. Asda has said that this only affects its eight-sheet diamond cut shredder and that the problem could be down to a faulty plug.
The product cost £19.97, and only affects those sold in the last six months, that’s according to Adsa spokeswoman Vickie North. North told the Guardian that only a handful of customers experienced this problem, the recalls is just a precautionary measure.
For those of you who have purchased the Asda eight sheet diamond cut shredder within the last six months, then please stop using it and return to your local Asda store, where they will then give you a full refund.
For more information on this recall please call 0500 100 055, where you will then be able to speak to an Asda customer relations representative.
