iPhone 4 Apple Store Pre-Orders: How to get micro sim?

By Peter Chubb - Jun 21, 2010

For those of you who have pre-ordered the new iPhone 4 from the Apple Store, then you might be wondering how you can get hold of a micro sim? The last thing you want is the latest smartphone but unable to use it – thankfully we have some advice on how you can obtain one.

For those of you in the UK on the O2 network, then this is truly a simple task. The first thing that you do is visit the O2 Shop. Once you hit the link before you are asked if you are an existing O2 customer or not? So if you select yes you will then be asked if you have received your free micro sim?

The website then explains that all those who pre-order the iPhone 4 from O2 will receive a micro sim with the handset. If you ordered direct from Apple then you can visit an O2 shop on Monday, 21 June 2010 – that’s the same day as the release of iOS 4. Once in store just show them their conformation email from Apple and the staff will then had over the new smaller sim.

All you then need to do is write down the SSN number ready for when you want to register it with O2, only then will you be able to swap your account onto the new sim. More details on that process can be found here.
