Android 2.2 Froyo Update: Download New Build for Nexus One

We have some good news for Nexus One handset owners now, as we are hearing reports that a new and working build of Android 2.2 Froyo is now available to download.
As reported from Phandroid, the download file is apparently the same file which became available to some users via OTA format. The update is 1.86MB and users will need to install this by overwriting the FRF50 build number.
Once you have installed FRF72, you should see an instant improvement in the speed of the web browser, better flash support and around 50MB of increased internal storage space.
Perhaps best of all though, Phandroid reports that the update should improve 3G signal for a lot of you. If you want to try this out, you can find the download here – install it at your own risk though.
Let us know how you get on!
