LOTR fans got a glimpse into the next generation of their favorite story when Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment debuted the new trailer and screenshots for Lord of the Rings: War in the North at their E3 showcase.
The game is being developed by Snowblind Studios, and with it they bring a war-torn Middle-earth to gamers, never seen before. It is scheduled to be released in 2011 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.
Lord of the Rings: War in the North brings the once action and role-playing game genre to a new form of online play, which consists of independent co-op play, for up to three different players who can form their own Fellowship and battle the forces that stand in the way. Character customization, upgradable weapons, skills and special abilities are all set to make this game something special.
In the screenshots provided here, you can see the lands of Mirkwood, troll battles, and images of the Fellowship – with all human, dwarf and elf races battling against all sorts of evil enemies.
What do you make of the trailer? Will you be forming your own Fellowship?
