Before we saw the iPhone 4′s amazing IPS LCD display we were blown away by the Samsung Galaxy S’s Super AMOLED WVGA screen, we are now hearing details regarding the Vodafone UK release of the Galaxy S.
The handset launches tomorrow (June 15th) and is available for pre-order today, it is completely free when you agree a two-year contract of at least £35 per month, however if you pay £40 a month you only need to agree an 18 month deal.

This handset should be a pretty popular alternative to the upcoming iPhone 4, it comes out of the box with Android 2.1 Eclair, however an update to Android 2.2 FroYo has been confirmed for the future.
The specs are certainly comparable to the iPhone 4, it features a massive 4-inch display, a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1GHz processor and WiFi connectivity, this should make it a player in the UK high-end smartphone market.
