As this year’s E3 in Los Angeles is almost upon us, Sony have already ruled out lowering the price of the Playstation 3. With the rumored new PS3 500GB expected to be showcased at the show it was thought there could be a reduction in price.
Claudine Beaument from Telegraph.co.uk is reporting that – Mark Howsen – sales director for Sony Computer Entertainment said no internal discussions had taken place about a price drop.
He told gaming website MCV “The bundling strategy will always continue,” he said. “In terms of price drop, I have no idea. There’s been no discussion internally about that at all. At the moment we’re enjoying good year-on-year growth and as long as that continues we’ll keep on going, I think.”
He commented on the PS3 price fall on the Sony US website that saw the price change from $299 to $199 was an “error”. Click here for the full story.
