We have some exciting news for PS3 owners now, as Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli confirmed in a recent interview that Crysis 2 will be the first major game for PS3 with support for 3D technology.
As reported from Playstation Lifestyle, the news has come via USA Today, who were also responsible for leaking a collection of Microsoft’s Project Natal (Kinect) titles.
As for Crysis 2 though, here is what Yerli had to say about it: “For games especially, 3-D gives gamers an increased level of immersion, which can enhance an intense experience like Crysis 2.”
Best of all, we can also confirm that multiplayer within Crysis 2 will also have support for 3D – How awesome is that?
Don’t worry if you can’t afford a 3D TV yet (like most normal people), as Crytek explained that the game will be the same content in 2D and 3D.
The game is due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC later this year. Excited?
