Motorola Droid X: Verizon Release Date in July?

Moments after we revealed a possible release date in August for the Motorola Droid 2 on Verizon, we have heard at the same time that the Motorola Droid X, will be landing on Verizon a lot sooner.

According to ‘breaking news’ from BGR, the Motorola Droid X will be launching on Verizon sometime in July – with training set to start at the end of this month.

Their report also confirms that the device will launch with Android 2.1 Eclair, while the updated version of MOTOBLUR has now been named ‘ShadowBLUR’.

Just so you know, the Droid X looks pretty identical to the original Droid, except that this handset won’t be coming with a slide out QWERTY. You can get a heads-up on specs so far in our previous article here.

It looks like a good time to be a Verizon customer this Summer, doesn’t it? Let us know your thoughts on this.
