Rock Band 3: New Instrument Prices and Two New Videos

By Alan Ng - Jun 11, 2010

We have some good news for those of you planning to pick up Rock Band 3, as the game has been blown apart just before E3 2010. We have the debut trailer for you to take a look at, as well as an in-depth look at the new keyboard peripheral and full pricing for the other new equipment.

First up is the videos. A 5 minute long video interview with Harmonix has been posted online courtesy of USA Today, we get a look at how the keyboard peripheral works and confirmation that you can still play this on the ground or on your lap – which is great.

After that, we have the debut trailer for you to look at. The game will be landing on multiplatform at the end of the year. The video also gives us a few details on the new difficulty called ‘Pro’ mode.

You are probably all wondering how much the new version is going to cost you. Luckily, your old instruments will work with the game, but there is plenty for you to purchase if you are looking for the latest stuff. The keyboard peripheral costs $79.99, while there is also a game + keyboard bundle for $129.99. Check out Destructoid’s article here for the full lowdown on pricing.

Are you pumped up for Rock Band 3? There is no doubt that the keyboard will introduce a lot of gamers into the franchise. Being a pianist myself, I’m obviously delighted with the news. Stay tuned for E3 next week for more details on the game.
