We have yet more details on the upcoming Motorola Droid 2 handset for you to take on board now, as it looks set that the device will ship with Android 2.1 Eclair and not Android 2.2 Froyo. Bummer.
As reported from BGR, the new details have once again come courtesy of Droid-Life, who have provided us with some specs and new pictures to take a look at.
We finally get a peek at the updated keyboard on the device, while Droid-Life also confirm the updated version of MOTOBLUR on the handset – thought to be called ‘NinjaBLUR’. Other specs include a 3.7-inch display, 8GB internal memory, 5 Megapixel camera, MicroSD support, 750MHz OMAP 3 processor, HDMI out and WiFi tethering.
Those are some pretty nice specs, especially the processing power – but you can’t help but feel disappointed that the handset won’t come with Froyo out of the box. Then again, Droid-Life may only have a test unit with Android 2.1. We’ll have to wait and see. Let us know your thoughts on this guys.
