As we reported earlier, a new Mortal Kombat game is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime next year. With Ed Boon and NetherRealm being the driving force of the operation, all we can do is hope that It lives up to expectation.
Warner made the announcement this morning, and it seems that they have gone back to basics; referring to the game purely as ‘Mortal Kombat’.
From the trailer that we have embedded below, it seems as though they have opted for the classic gameplay approach of Mortal Kombat 2/3, but with an updated coat of 3D paint and extremely quick 2D fighting.
Watch the trailer below and tell us what you think about the new breed of Mortal Kombat slated for release in 2011.
