E3 2010: Two New Sony PS3 Consoles?

By Peter Chubb - Jun 11, 2010

E3 2010 begins on June 15, 2010 and even before the big gaming event the FCC thought that this was a good time to out two new Sony PS3 consoles. This is certainly great news and we are certain that we will learn more during the E3 Expo, such as what is different about these two latest models?

The two new PlayStation 3 models are CECH-2501A and CECH-2501B; the only difference between the two is their storage capacity. While Thomas Ricker from Engadget did his bit of digging on the FCC website he found that there is two debugging stations, the DECH-2500A and DECH-S2500A.

You may wonder why this is so interesting, well it is when you consider that you only get a new debug unit when Sony decides to change the chips housed on the motherboard.

This is going to be the longest four days ever; only then will be able to learn what Sony has planned? Have they gone for a more powerful chip, or one that runs even cooler? Other hot news to come out before the event is that the new box art for Metal Gear Solid Rising.
