New iPhone iOS 4: GM Candidate Jailbroken

By Alan Ng - Jun 9, 2010

Some major news to bring you now, as it has been confirmed that the new iPhone iOS 4 Golden Master Candidate has been jailbroken. Users can now use the Candidate to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS with the help of a PwnageTool bundle.

As reported from BGR, this new jailbreak method has come courtesy of user msft.guy, who some of you might remember as the guy responsible for fixing the blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3.1.3 05.11.07 baseband.

He has released a few custom PwnageTool bundles which will allow you to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS with the GM Candidate. He also states that using this method will preserve the bandband – meaning that you can unlock your handset straight away if you wish to do so.

There is a video showing the process in action over at BGR. Only attempt this if you know what you are doing, and know the consequences of performing such tasks. Let us know how you get on.
