Motorola Droid 2: First Image before Release

By Alan Ng - Jun 9, 2010

Who needs the iPhone 4 when you have the Motorola Droid 2? That is what Verizon is probably thinking anyway – we have an image to show you now which looks to be the first picture of the handset in the wild.

As reported from Phandroid, the image has come to us courtesy of Droid-Life, which is also the same website responsible for all the recent leaks on the Motorola Droid Xtreme / Motorola Shadow.

Both handsets are due on Verizon this Summer and this latest one of the Motorola Droid 2 apparently shows the activation screen. As you can see though, the image is quite blurry so it is hard to tell if this is the real thing or not.

If it is real, then it does confirm that the Droid 2 will look pretty much identical to the original Droid, except there will be no slide out QWERTY this time.

We’ll update you when we get more details on this. Do you think this picture is real or not?
