Models infected include 2006 – 2010 Jeep Wranglers (288,968), with a specific issue related to a potential brake fluid leak. Other Chrysler models include the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans (284,831) from 2008 – 2009. These problems have an wiring issue, which could lead to a fire inside the sliding doors.

No injuries or crashes have been reported yet according to Chrysler, but the company adds that a further 76,430 Wranglers and 34,143 minivans are also being recalled in Mexico, Canada and other international markets.

We have a 2009 Town and Country and have taken it in to the dealer twice now complaining about the sliding doors. The mechanism continues to try to open the doors and makes a clicking sound even after they are fully open. Each time we have been told be the dealer "sorry, we can't duplicate the problem" and yet as soon as I pick it up and bring it home it happens AGAIN…now maybe they will do their jobs and fix it!!!
