Verizon iPhone 4: Alternatives after no 2010 announcement

Now that Verizon customer’s won’t be getting the new iPhone any time soon as we reported earlier, they will have to look at other smartphone choices. The lineup for those customers is still quite an impressive one.
Sean Ludwig from pcmag.com is running a story comparing the current smartphone offerings for Verizon customers. The closest thing to compare against an iPhone would be the HTC Incredible, or not far behind would be LG Ally and the Motorola Droid. These handsets both offer full QWERTY keyboards.
Other options include those of the WebOS powered recently announced BlackBerry Bold 9650, or the BlackBerry Curve 8530. Another favorite is the Palm Pre Plus with its free Wi-Fi feature, but the only fault with this handset is that it can feel a little outdated. So it is not all bad news for Verizon customers who can still get some pretty capable handsets.
