Sprint Samsung Restore: Release Date Today, Photo, Specs and Pricing

By Jamie Pert - Jun 7, 2010

If you cannot afford the Sprint HTC EVO 4G we have an alternative for you, this is the Samsung Restore, whilst it does not offer the high-end features and 4G connectivity that the EVO offers, it does have one big selling point, it is eco-friendly.

The Restore has a pretty attractive design given it’s pretty cheap price, it has a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 2 megapixel camera, microSD memory card, Bluetooth connectivity and pre-loaded social networking applications.

The real attraction is it’s environmentally friendliness, the handset is 84% recyclable materials and it’s outer casing is made from 27% post-consumer recycled plastic.

It is not just the handset itself that is eco-friendly, the charger is made from 70% post-consumer materials and Energy Star 2.0 qualified, not only this but it is 100% recyclable. Also worth a mention is the lack of a user manual, to ‘save the trees’ there is only an online version.

If you would like to get your hands on the Samsung Restore it will set you back $49.99 as part of a two-year deal, this price takes into account a $50 mail-in rebate, a small price to pay to help out the environment.
