Android 2.2 Droid Froyo Update: Download Now

By Posted 5 Jun 2010, 20:28

We know that Android 2.2 Froyo Update was coming to the Nexus One first and then the Motorola Droid next, but we did not expect the latter to get the OS upgrade just yet – well unofficially. We had said in a previous post that those interested in the 2.2 update for your Droid should now sign up – the guys at My Droid World sure work fast as that was only two days ago.

Vladislav Savov from Engadget made me laugh, he said that he was unsure if he should now call this update Frodroid or Droyo? I am not certain why I am adding more to this post, Motorola Droid owners would have already gone off by now to download this latest Android update.

To get the download just visit My Droid World where you will be given all the instructions you need. We have to inform you that the update does not come with Wi-Fi support – this should be rectified soon. We expect nothing less from an unofficial upgrade like this.

If you do not want to risk this then you should wait for Motorola to launch the official upgrade – although we are uncertain when this will be.
