Smartphone enthusiasts are probably fully aware that today sees the launch of the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint’s WiMax-powered 4G network, this makes the EVO 4G the World’s first 4G smartphone.
With it’s 4G connectivity, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Android OS and 4.3 inch touchscreen display, experts predicted impressive sales, however it seems as if the popularity of the handset has perhaps taken Sprint by surprise.
Apparently Sprint stores across the U.S. were somewhat overwhelmed by the eager buyers, this caused some stores to leave prospective buyers queuing out of the doors.
With the iPhone 4G launch expected in a few days, it seems likely that the Sprint EVO 4G will be overshadowed massively, therefore you have to admire Sprint’s timing for the launch of their new flagship handset.
