Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 Update: Details – 7 Issues Fixed

Microsoft have recently updated their Silverlight plug-in, this update should rectify seven well known issues as well as improving the overall performance and stability of the plug-in.

One of the issues fixed should allow all XP and Mac OS X configurations to play PlayReady and DRM encrypted media, prior to this fix, certain computers had difficulties playing these types of media.

The rest of the fixes are related to crashes, screen positioning, error messages and memory leaks along with one known issue using the TAB key, you can find out more on Microsoft’s official website.

There are two ways to install this new version, you can either head to the official Silverlight website and download the correct version for your particular computer configuration, or if you are running Windows simply run Windows Update.
