E3 2010: Red Dead Redemption’s Rockstar no-show

By Peter Chubb - Jun 3, 2010

E3 2010 is on from June 15 to June 17 and will see a host of game developers and console makers at the event. The stands are expected to be full, all except one – Rockstar. You would have thought that the developer would have made an appearance – especially with the success that they are having with Red Dead Redemption for the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360.

Rockstar said that they cannot make it to E3 2010 as they do not have enough time to prepare – maybe Red Dead has taken too much of their time. Just seems a shame that there will now be an empty booth at what is expected to be one of the best E3 events yet.

According to Jordan Cressman from I4U, Rockstar was meant to make a huge impression this year with Max Payne 3 and LA Noir, as well as announcing a new Grand Theft Auto title and some extra PR work for Red Dead Redemption. Pulling out of a show like that at such short notice does not normally happen and will be a big blow to Rockstar fans.

However, do not worry as the game developer has said that it will hold its own event after E3 – not certain if it will have the same vibe.
