BP Gulf Oil Spill: Apps for Android and iPhone

If you are concerned about BP’s Oil Spill in the Gulf you may want to keep up-to-date with the situation, well iPhone or BlackBerry owners are in luck as there are several apps to choose from to do just this.

There are three iPhone apps to choose from, two of which are free. The free ones are Oil Spill Response and Oil Reporter, to find out more about these applications and to download them to your iPhone simply click on their names, both apps are primarily used for reporting your position if you spot oil contamination.

There is also a premium app which you can purchase, this app costs just $0.99 and is called BP Oil Spill, this app gives you a more in-depth look into the spill, including statistics and visual representations of the oil spill.

For Android there are two apps, both of which are free. One of these apps is the same Oil Reporter which is available for iPhone, the other is Deepwater 2010, this app will keep you up-to-date with all of the latest oil spill news, whilst providing you with photos of the disaster.
