2011 Ford Mondeo with Eco Boost Spotted in Wild

By Peter Chubb - May 28, 2010

Ford is to totally revamp its Mondeo line in 2012, but until then the Detroit automaker will offer a minor refresh for the 2011 model. According to Sam Abuelsamid from Autoblog this minor update should be debuted at the 2011 Paris Motor Show – one more thing, this new model will get the Eco Boost system and has been spotted in the wild.

We all assumed that the small changes would be to the exterior and interior, not under the hood. Street New Cars have been out and about with their cameras to snap the updated Mondeo on the streets, and you can see that the fascia looks a lot like those used on the 2012 Focus and the current Fiesta.

The front fog lamps have been remodeled, along with the front grille and upper section. The rear of the car has also had some work done, but it is that Eco Boost engine that will be of most interest to drivers. This will only be available in a 2.0-liter version and will be mated to Ford’s Powershift dual-clutch transmission.

Ford has yet to release any details on this, we hope to have more information before the Paris Motor Show in September.
