Acer has wasted no time in announcing three new products, a tablet device, an eReader and a smartphone. We thought we would take a closer look at the Acer Stream powered by Android OS, which looking at the specs certainly seems impressive – more of which can be seen in the video below.

Acer Stream Android: Specs and Video

The new handset will run on Android 2.1 Éclair, but will no doubt be upgraded to 2.2 Froyo in time. Acer has packed everything behind a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen – let us hope that they will not suffer the same shortage as the HTC Droid Incredible has.

Other features include the ever-popular Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB of storage and 512MB of RAM. Do not let the poor storage put you off; this can be increased via its external microSD card slot.

The Acer Stream also comes with a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, 720p HD video recording along with support for UPnP and DLNA streaming. SlashGear reports that there are no details on a release date or price – we will keep you informed once details become available.
