AT&T Samsung Rugby II: Specs, Release Date and Price Announced

If all of these high-end smartphones are just not rugged enough for your day-to-day activities, you are probably wondering when a U.S. carrier will announce a handset that can withstand the conditions of a more demanding environment, AT&T have done just this by announcing the Samsung Rugby II.

This handset is the successor to the original Samsung Rugby and aims to build on the solid foundations this handset set, the Rugby II has a clamshell design and is compliant to the military standard MIL-STD-810G, this means it can withstand vibration, temperature extremes, solar radiation, shock, rain, humidity and altitude,

Despite it’s rugged design it still manages to squeeze in some pleasing features, such as a 2 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, Push TO Talk and aGPS, it also features dual-band 7.2Mbps HSPA and quad-band GSM connectivity.
