Sprint iPhone 4G: Release Confirmed by Best Buy – Rumor

Some exciting news for Sprint customers now, as fresh rumors have indicated that the upcoming iPhone 4G handset will arrive on their network this Summer too – according to a Best Buy employee.

As reported from RedmondPie, a Best Buy employee emailed TheTechUpdate, stating that Sprint would be getting the iPhone 4G this Summer. He added that Apple has dropped their iPhone exclusivity deal with AT&T, over a compromise that would ensure the carrier’s exclusivity with the iPad.

The employee, who later identified himself to be from a Pennsylvania store, added that Apple has already begun advertising the Sprint iPhone and that Best Buy expect shelf displays within a ‘week or two’.

A portion of his email to the website reads: ”I can confirm that Sprint will be carrying the iPhone beginning in June. They’ve begun to grease the wheels for advertising.”
