Hulk Hogan Cocoa Pebbles: Flintstones and the Lawsuit

We have some surprising news to bring you now, as it has been reported that legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan is suing the company behind breakfast cereal Cocoa Pebbles, over a character which Hogan believes is based on him.

As reported from Digital Journal, Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, believes that his reputation was damaged in a recent advert for the cereal, in which Flintstones character Bam Bam ‘smashes’ the character named ‘Hulk Boulder’ into pieces in the middle of a wrestling ring.

Interestingly, Hogan has revealed that he used to perform under the name Hulk Boulder before promoter Vince McMahon urged him to use the Hulk Hogan moniker.

But according to the lawsuit now filed against the cereal, Hogan is shown to be ”humiliated and cracked into pieces with broken teeth, with the closing banner, ‘Little Pieces…BIG TASTE!’”

It seems that the ‘Hulkster’ cannot keep out of the courts at the moment. Watch the cereal ad for yourself and let us know what you think of this.

Should Hogan let it go?

Funny! When I saw this commercial I thought the character looked exactly like Hulk Hogan!

  • Carrie

I thought they used his likeness with his permission. Especially since that commercial has been out for about 3 1/2 yrs. LOL!

just admit it was hulk and pay the man

The ad screwed up when they called him Hulk anything, because now instead of it being "some blonde wrestler" they are cartooning his likeness. I'm sure if you showed this ad to anybody over the age of 30, they'd instantly think it's suppose to be Hulk Hogan, I know I did, which is the "moran in a hurry" test you need to validate such a lawsuit.
