Google Android: Will Blow Your Mind – Andy Rubin
By: Jamie Pert | May 25, 2010 | Leave a CommentThere is no doubt that Google Android has grown massively in the last year, however the current VP of Engineering at Google – Andy Rubin believes that in the next six months Android will blow your mind.
This is a rather bold claim from Rubin, given the fact that Android 2.2 FroYo has significantly improved the ‘Android experience’, however I believe he is attempting to build the hype for FroYo’s successor Android 3.0 Gingerbread.
In a recent statement Rubin spoke about how Android has rapidly changed from a relatively simplistic Android 0.8 build, to the advanced and intuitive Android 2.2, which has somewhat set a new standard for mobile operating systems.
Rubin also stated that the more Google progress with Android, the more they are learning how to master “that type of engineering”, he hinted that what would once take Google 18 months, will now just take 6 months, and added “There is going to be stuff that’s just going to blow your mind”.
It will be interesting to see what future Android versions such as Gingerbread will offer to “blow your mind”, any ideas?
