We have more news on Google’s upcoming Android 2.2 Froyo software now, as Google has made a very bold claim, in stating that the web browser featured on Froyo is the world’s fastest mobile web browser in the world.
As reported from Engadget and fresh from their I/O event in San Francisco, Google highlighted the V8 JavaScript Engine as the main reason for the significant boost in speeds.
Already seen in their Chrome browser, Google state that Froyo running the V8 engine will produce two to three times faster speeds than seen in previous versions of Android.
Certainly an impressive statement to make, but do you think Froyo will be the fastest mobile browser on the planet? Hopefully upcoming Froyo tests will reveal all the answers soon.
