Google TV: Sony And Logitech Announce Products

With the forthcoming launch of Google TV the first devices for the service, which launches in the fall of 2010 have just been announced. Techradars Patrick Goss is reporting that Logitech and Sony will be launching devices for the service.

Logitech will be releasing a box that can be plugged into existing setups and has a controller that has a keyboard combined. The box also has Logitech’s Harmony remote control technology. Logitech also have plans for video chat and a HDTV camera for Google’s new service.

Sony is set to release a Blu-ray player and a range of televisions with the Google TV built in. Howard Stringer of the Sony Corporation was quoted as saying “I am delighted to announce the unique alignment of Google’s rapidly growing, open source Android platform with Sony’s unparalleled expertise in the field of TV design and technology”.
