Sony Say Apple Are “Arrogant” – Michael Ephraim

During an interview with Digital Life, Sony Australia boss Michael Ephraim claimed that his once branded company (Sony) were never arrogant, but has named a certain fruit has all but taken that title from them.

“I don’t think we (Sony) are arrogant anymore,” Ephraim told Screen Play earlier on this week. The Sony Australia boss then went on to say that he can “name a company that is a fruit that is in the news a lot about their arrogance.”

He goes on ”I think they have taken the mantle from us,if we were ever arrogant!”

We all remember when a BBQ looking console that played PS3 games was on sale for $599 don’t we? Maybe that is not being arrogant, but it’s very close.

I don't see putting a piece of hardware on-sale for $200 less than it's production cost as being arrogant. Let's be honest, Sony wasn't responsible for, nor were they aware of the impending financial crisis to befall the planet. Remember, people were snatching up high-end PC's like hotcakes for gaming purposes at the time.

Apple, on the other hand, uses weak components, and then underclocks them and tacks on %50 on top of that. It used to be, that if you were into photography/film etc… you could do yourself very well by going out and getting a decent Mac. Nowadays, they charge so much for them, you can take that money and put it into a Windows machine that'll blow the doors off the Mac counterpart. You've seen the commercials….they're pretty accurate.

Save yourself some money and learn a little about what it is you want to DO with your hardware, THEN make a decision based upon those needs. Don't just go look for the prettiest Mac and blindly pay what they want.

I think Apple have the right to be a liitle arrogant, they make products people want, i can't think of any bad Apple products currently on sale but can think of many poor products from Sony, I think Apple are now what Sony used be 10Years ago, Sony now is just rebadged Samsung the only Sony product I would buy is the PS3
